Terms & Conditions

Intellectual Property Attorneys’ Association

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern registration for and admission to the IPAA Felicitation Dinner (“Event”) organised by the Intellectual Property Attorneys’ Association (“IPAA” or “Organizer”). Intellectual Property Attorneys’ Association is a registered society registered under the Societies Registration Act.

By completing the registration process and making payment for the Event, the registrant (“Attendee”) confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

1. Event Details

The Event is a contributory dinner and drinks organised by IPAA in honour of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Hon’ble Ms. Justice Prathiba M. Singh.

The Event is scheduled to be held on:

Date: Thursday, 1 October 2026
Time: 7:30 PM onwards
Venue: Silver Oak, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi

2. Registration and Admission

2.1. Admission to the Event is limited and shall be available on a first-cum-first-register basis.

2.2. Registration shall close once the maximum capacity for the Event is reached.

2.3. Registration shall be confirmed only upon successful receipt of the applicable registration fee.

2.4. The applicable registration charges are:

2.5. The applicable registration fee must be paid in advance through the payment facility provided on the website.

2.6. Upon successful receipt and confirmation of payment, a QR code shall be generated and sent to the email address provided by the Attendee during registration.

2.7. The Attendee must carry the QR code, in electronic or such other form as may be accepted by the Organizer, for admission to the Event.

2.8. The Organizer may verify the identity, category, membership status and other particulars of an Attendee at or before admission.

3. Accuracy of Information

3.1. The Attendee shall provide complete, accurate and current information during registration.

3.2. The name entered during registration may be used for the guest list and event-related identification and should therefore be entered correctly.

3.3. The mobile number provided should be an active WhatsApp-enabled number, as event-related communications may be sent through WhatsApp.

3.4. The Attendee shall not register using false, misleading, fictitious or unauthorised information.

3.5. IPAA reserves the right to verify membership details and other information supplied during registration.

3.6. If any information supplied by an Attendee is found to be false, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent, the Organizer may cancel the registration and deny admission without refund.

4. Registration Category

4.1. The Attendee must select the registration category applicable to him/her.

4.2. An IPAA Member registering under the Member category may be required to establish valid IPAA membership.

4.3. The Organizer reserves the right to verify membership and other eligibility criteria.

4.4. If an Attendee registers under an incorrect or ineligible category, the Organizer may cancel the registration or require payment of the applicable difference in registration fee before admission.

5. Non-Transferability

5.1. Registration is personal to the registered Attendee and is non-transferable.

5.2. A confirmed registration, QR code or admission entitlement may not be sold, assigned, transferred or otherwise provided to another person without the prior written consent of the Organizer.

5.3. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission where the person presenting the QR code cannot be reasonably identified as the registered Attendee.

6. Cancellation and Refund

6.1. Registration for the Event is non-refundable and non-transferable.

6.2. No refund shall ordinarily be provided for non-attendance, late arrival, change of plans, inability to attend, incorrect information supplied by the Attendee, or any other reason attributable to the Attendee.

6.3. In the event that the Organizer cancels the Event, the Organizer shall provide a refund in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy applicable to the Event.

6.4. The Organizer may cancel an individual registration in accordance with these Terms, including in cases involving false information, ineligibility, non-compliance with these Terms or inappropriate conduct. Such cancellation shall ordinarily be without refund.

7. Code of Conduct

7.1. Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional and appropriate manner throughout the Event.

7.2. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the Event, any person whose conduct is disruptive, abusive, threatening, unlawful, inappropriate or otherwise prejudicial to the safety, dignity or enjoyment of the Event by other attendees.

7.3. No refund shall be payable where an Attendee is denied admission or removed from the Event due to violation of these Terms or inappropriate conduct.

8. Photography, Videography and Recording

8.1. The Event may be photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded by or on behalf of IPAA for documentation, archival, publicity and promotional purposes.

8.2. By registering for and attending the Event, the Attendee acknowledges and consents, subject to applicable law, to reasonable photography, videography and recording in which the Attendee may incidentally appear.

8.3. The Organizer may use such photographs, videos or recordings for legitimate organisational, documentation, publicity and promotional purposes, including on IPAA’s website, social media and other communication channels.

8.4. The Organizer will endeavour to respect reasonable requests concerning the use of identifiable images, subject always to applicable law and the practical circumstances of event photography and recording.

9. Event Changes

9.1. The Organizer reserves the right, where reasonably necessary, to modify the arrangements, timings, programme, venue or other logistical aspects of the Event.

9.2. Any material change or cancellation will be communicated through the contact details provided during registration, wherever reasonably practicable.

10. Personal Information

10.1. Information collected during registration, including name, mobile number, email address, attendee category, organisation/law firm and IPAA membership information, may be used for purposes connected with registration, payment processing, event administration, verification, communication and admission.

10.2. The use and handling of personal information shall be governed by the IPAA Privacy Policy.

11. Payment Processing

11.1. Payments may be processed through a third-party payment gateway.

11.2. IPAA does not receive or store complete payment-card credentials such as the full card number, CVV or other sensitive payment authentication information where such information is processed directly by the payment service provider.

11.3. Payment transactions may be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the applicable payment service provider.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. The Organizer shall take reasonable steps to facilitate the Event but shall not be responsible for circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

12.2. To the extent permitted by law, IPAA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from an Attendee’s registration or attendance at the Event.

12.3. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Force Majeure

The Organizer shall not be liable for any failure, postponement, modification or cancellation of the Event resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including governmental restrictions, natural disasters, fire, epidemic or pandemic, civil disturbance, security concerns, venue-related circumstances or other force majeure events.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, the courts at New Delhi exclusively shall have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising out of or in connection with the Event or these Terms.

15. Acceptance

By selecting the acceptance checkbox during registration and proceeding with payment, the Attendee confirms that he/she has read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
